What is Politicker.ai?

Making Parliament Legible, One Debate at a Time

Politicker.ai is a new political intelligence platform built to analyse and explain UK Parliament at scale. We turn hours of debate, thousands of speeches, and decades of public record into structured insights—so that citizens, journalists, researchers, and businesses can see what is really being said, and what is not.

We see ourselves as a technology team with a democratic mission. We are constantly developing and refining tools that extract and communicate new analytics to lay and expert audiences. We harness AI in our data production, showcasing the salience of political agendas, the levels of polarisation in legislatures, and the reputations of private individuals and companies.

Our website and contributions bring together audiences from across politics, media, business and academia. Our motivations are to enhance democratic transparency, help clients navigate policy, and make politics more accessible for everyone.

Why Politicker Exists

Most political records are public. Few are accessible. Hansard—the official transcript of Parliament—is rich with detail but poor in usability. Politicker changes that. We process and transform Hansard’s unstructured text into structured, searchable, analysable data.

Using advanced large language models (LLMs), we extract summaries, stances, sentiment, and rhetorical patterns from political discourse. We make debates navigable.

What We Do

Politicker offers both breadth and depth:

Quantitative trends
Track how often MPs talk about immigration, housing, or the NHS, and see which issues rise and fall over time.
Qualitative insight
Summarise a debate, identify a minister’s stance, and measure defensiveness, alignment, or evasion.
Entity-level analysis
Follow what individual MPs or departments say across topics, and how their language shifts.
Custom extraction pipelines
From stance detection to agenda-setting language, we extract the invisible structure behind political talk.

Who It’s For

  • Journalists who need fast, sourced summaries and trendlines
  • Academics who need clean political speech data
  • Campaigners who want to track how their issue is discussed in power
  • Policy professionals and businesses monitoring regulatory tone and direction

Built for Accountability

We do not editorialise. We extract, surface, and structure. Politicker is not a recommendation engine or a pundit—it is a tool for understanding. Every insight can be traced to the original words, in context.

We believe that transparency does not come from releasing raw data. It comes from turning that data into meaning.
